Thanksgiving Rolls

Directions:

  1. mix 3 cups of flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in mixer bowl
  2. combine milk, water, and butter
  3. heat until 120º to 130ºF
  4. Add flour mixture and eggs
  5. beat 2 minutes at medium speed and scrape bowl
  6. add 2 cups of flour
  7. beat at high speed for 2 minutes and scrape bowl
  8. stir in enough flour to make a soft dough
  9. turn out into lightly floured surface an dknead until smooth and elastic (about 7 minutes)
  10. cover, let rest 10 minutes
  11. divide dough into 3 pieces, roll each into flat piece
  12. slice into strips
  13. tie into knots
  14. place onto parchemnt paper 2 inches apart
  15. cover and let rise in a warm draft free place about 30-45 min
  16. bake at 275ºF for 20-25 min
  17. cool rolls on wire racks
  18. put rolls into plastic bags and put them in the freezer for up to a month
  19. place rolls on ungreased baking sheet in oven for 12 min at 400ºF
  20. brush melted butter on them
